What is your origin story?
Ceeblue was founded in 2017 and opened for business in 2018. Despite being such a young company, our team’s average age is well above what you might expect. We have nearly a century of cumulative experience in the fields of networking, streaming and internet infrastructure.
In addition to being a bit more experienced than many of our competitors, our company personality also has a bit of an “expats” profile — all but one of us are living in a country different from the one we were raised in. This helps us really understand our clients who come from so many different countries, languages and cultures around the world. Every day our team relies on the very same video technologies that we work so hard to perfect, in order to keep in touch with our loved ones. This is a labour of love, very near to our heart!
Ceeblue started out developing lightning fast transcoding, and in 2018 landed our first big customer. We offer transcoding in about 2-frames’ time, meaning that we can transrate into 720p, 480p, etc. And also add logo watermarks in a fraction of the wink of an eye.
What is the company working on right now?
In 2020, we released our ultra-low latency cloud to customers, and immediately started work on expanding our scope, adding features and supported protocols and shaving off milliseconds anywhere we could. We currently take most types of ingest provided by our customers — WebRTC, HLS, RTMP or RTSP. We transcode and transrate it instantaneously, then send it off through our cloud to anywhere in the world in less than a second (usually around 200ms).
We deliver the video in whatever format you fancy and continually add more and more protocols to the list….
